Pianist 김진욱
미국 Washington Post로부터 “연주 그 자체로 승리”라는 호평을 받은 피아니스트 김진욱은 “감탄할 정도로 미묘한 뉘앙스를 가진 프레이징”(The Baltimore Sun)과 “열렬한 환호를 이끌어내는 어마어마한 원동력”(Santa Barbara News-Press)을 겸비한 연주를 들려준다. 그는 Hilton Head 국제 피아노 콩쿠르에서 1위, William Kapell 국제 피아노 콩쿠르에서 2위, World Piano Competition에서 2위와 청중상을 수상하며 국제무대에 이름을 알려왔고, 국내에서는 이화경향콩쿠르 1위를 비롯, 중앙음악콩쿠르, 동아음악콩쿠르 등에서 입상하였다.
2012년 카네기홀의 Weill Recital Hall에서 Hilton Head 국제 피아노 콩쿠르 주최로 성공적인 뉴욕 데뷔 독주회를 가진 김진욱은 같은 해 미국 유수의 오케스트라 중 하나인 Baltimore 심포니 오케스트라와 브람스 피아노 협주곡 2번을 연주하였으며, 이 밖에 Cincinnati 심포니 오케스트라, Hilton Head 심포니 오케스트라, Music Academy Festival 오케스트라와도 협연하였다. 한국에서는 열두 살 때 뉴서울 필하모닉과 데뷔하였고, 2013년 피스 앤 피아노 페스티벌에 초청되어 오프닝 콘서트에서 경기 필하모닉과 협연하였으며, 같은 해 수원시립 교향악단과도 두 차례 협연하였다. 최근에는 원주시향, 군포 프라임필하모닉 오케스트라, 한경arte 필하모닉 오케스트라, KT 심포니 및 체임버 오케스트라, 그리고 함께한대 오케스트라와의 협연으로 관객들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.
독주자이자 실내악 연주자로서 김진욱은 예술의전당 IBK챔버홀에서 수차례의 독주회를 비롯하여 동 연주회장의 리사이틀홀, 세종문화회관 체임버홀, KT체임버홀, 영산아트홀, 경기아트센터, 성남 티엘아이 아트센터, 고양 아람누리 아람음악당, 대구콘서트하우스 챔버홀 등지에서 활발히 연주활동을 해오고 있다. 그는 또한 미국 테네시 주 Evelyn Miller Young Pianist Series와 위스콘신 주 Green Lake Festival of Music에서 초청 독주회를 가진 바 있으며 보스턴의 유서 깊은 Jordan Hall, Harvard Music Association Concert Series, 워싱턴 D.C.의 Kennedy Center, 시카고의 Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series, 로드 아일랜드 주의 Newport Music Festival, 산타 바바라의 Music Academy of the West, 캐나다의 Banff Centre, 중국 광저우 오페라 하우스 등 해외 무대에서도 독주 및 실내악 연주를 펼쳐왔다. 그의 연주는 미국 공영 라디오 (NPR), 뉴욕 클래식 FM (WQXR), 시카고 클래식 FM (WFMT), 보스턴 클래식 FM (WGBH) 등을 통해 방송되었다.
김진욱은 예원학교, 서울예술고등학교, 한양대학교에서 윤미경 교수를 사사하였고, 이후 도미하여 New England Conservatory에서 변화경 교수의 지도하에 석사, 전문연주자 과정(Graduate Diploma), 그리고 Joseph Beaudoin 전액 장학금을 받으며 박사 학위(Doctor of Musical Arts)를 취득하였다. 그는 또한 Sergei Babayan, Peter Frankl, Marc Ponthus, Alan Feinberg와의 마스터클래스를 통해 고전에서 현대에 이르는 다양한 레퍼토리들을 수학하였다. 현재 한양대학교 음악대학 피아노과 교수로 재직하며 후학 양성에 힘을 쏟고 있다.

The opening of the 2 stories, 600 seats Industrial Bank of Korea Chamber Hall in 2011, a space created exclusively for chamber music, has provided a nesting place for chamber music within the domestic classical music scene. Note for receiving a ticket
