Cellist 이영은
깊이 있는 음악성과 탄탄한 음악적 해석으로 국내외에서 주목받고 있는 첼리스트 이영은은 예원학교, 서울예술고등학교를 거쳐 서울대학교 음악대학 최우수 장학생으로 입학하였고, 졸업 후 도미하여 존스 홉킨스 피바디 음악원(Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University)에서 석사학위(M.M.)를 취득하였으며, 동 대학원에서
이영은은 일찍이 국민일보, 한국필하모닉, 숙명여대, 스트라드, 한미 콩쿠르에서 우수한 성적으로 입상하는 등 다수의 수상경력을 비롯, 한국필하모닉 오케스트라, 서울 첼리스텐 오케스트라 외 여러 오케스트라와의 협연을 통해 음악성을 인정받았다. 미국 유학시절 동안에도 Misbin Chamber Music Competition 등 국내외 유수한 콩쿠르에서 우승하며 실력을 인정받았고, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra 외 세계적인 오케스트라와의 협연 뿐 아니라, Washington Performing Arts에서 주최하는 내셔널 아트 갤러리 초청 연주, 국제 첼로 페스티벌 아티스트 초정 연주, 워싱턴 싱가포르 대사관 초청 연주, 이탈리아 Armonie della sera Music Festival 초청 연주 등 다수의 무대에 초대되어 자신의 음악세계를 선보였다.
미국 뉴욕의 카네기홀 데뷔 독주회를 시작으로 Griswold Hall, Goodwin Hall, Friedberg Hall, Cohen Davison Theatre 등에서의 독주회를 열었으며, 미국 Wheeler Auditorium, Falvey Hall, Shriver Hall, An-die Musik, Bernard Township, Mozarteum Wiener Saal, Ida K. Lang Recital Hall 등 다수의 연주를 통해 세계적인 두각을 나타냈다. 뿐만 아니라, 미국을 중심으로 L’abri Trio와 Trio Avenue를 결성하여 연주 투어를 하는 등 실내악 연주자로서도 왕성한 연주 활동을 이어나갔고, Washington Chamber Orchestra, New York Classical Orchestra 객원수석, 미주 중앙일보 “음악으로 쓰는 편지” 칼럼니스트로 활동하였다. 미국 동부 콘서트 투어, 솔리스트 앙상블 정기연주회 초정 연주 및 The Classic 500 초청 연주, 금호아트홀 연세, 성남아트센터, 부천아트센터, 영산아트홀 등 다양한 무대에서 연주회를 가졌다.
예술의전당 귀국독주회를 시작으로 매년 예술의전당 리사이틀홀, 금호아트홀 연세, 성남아트센터, 부천아트센터 등에서 꾸준히 리사이틀 무대를 이어오고 있는 첼리스트 이영은은 서울대학교, 이화여자대학교, 단국대학교, Rutgers University Mason Gross Extension Division에 출강하였으며, 현재는 성신여자대학교, 예원학교, 서울예고, 계원예중·고, 인천예고, 인천아트센터 영재아카데미에서 후학 양성에 힘쓰는 한편, 트리오 세레나와 앙상블 리릭의 멤버로 활동하며 다양한 연주 활동으로 청중과의 음악적인 소통을 이어나가고 있다.

The 2 stories 354 seats Recital Hall is the perfect venue for recitals that demand crystal clear sounds to resonate. It finished undergoing renovation in 2005 and has since been widely loved for showcasing debut and farewell stages, charming chamber music ensembles as well as experimental music.

Note for receiving a ticket
- Customers who have benefited from discounts (e.g. discount coupons and membership discounts, special discounts for the disabled, national merits, SAC Teens, noble members, students, seniors and last-minute tickets) must be able to present proof of eligibility when collecting discounted tickets. If a customer fails to present such certification, he or she must pay for the full ticket price to enter the venue.
- The Box Office is very crowded when an event is about to begin. We strongly recommend collecting your ticket at least 30 minutes before the performance starts.
