2026 Asian Calligraphy Festival VI is an international art festival that expands the
traditions of calligraphy and 문자예술 through a contemporary perspective.
〈Album Library〉 brings the traditional formats of hwacheop (painting albums) and
seocheop (calligraphy albums) into a modern exhibition space, creating a classical
setting in which visitors can open the albums and experience the works directly.
The special exhibition 〈Animal Encyclopedia〉 begins with the fundamental concept
of “calligraphy and painting sharing the same origin” (書畫同源). Moving beyond the
boundaries between writing and image, the exhibition reinterprets the vitality of
animals and nature through a contemporary artistic language. More than 160
leading Korean masters of calligraphy and literati painting will participate.
In addition, an international forum will be held at 3:00 PM on November 5,
bringing together participants from Korea, China, and Hungary to explore the
possibilities of contemporary 문자예술 and the future direction of international
exchange.
It is a new arena for 문자예술 where writing meets image, tradition meets the
present, and Korea meets the world.

Seoul Calligraphy Art MuseumMuseum representing Korean calligraphy
Seoul Calligraphy Art Museum, which opened in 1988, is the world’s first-ever exhibition venue dedicated to calligraphy. Traditional works as well as contemporary works are continuously presented in 3 exhibition halls. The oriental atmosphere of the calligraphy art museum is the only one in the world which preserves the culture of the Chinese characters, and thus has been drawing many foreign visitors. There is also a calligraphy education academy which is open to the general public.
All performances, except for children-specific ones, are suitable for elementary school students and older. If proof of age cannot be provided, entry will not be permitted regardless of ticket possession or accompaniment by a guardian. (Excluding performances aimed at children.)
We encourage travel by public transport because you may not be able to enter the venue before the performance start time due to parking lot congestion.

The maximum number of tickets allowed to be purchased per online order (Homepage(PC/Mobile) or SAC PASS App) is 10. If you would like to purchase more than 10 tickets for a group, please call the Call Center (1668-1352)

- Tickets with Time Slots: Cancellation fees apply according to the same standards as for rental performances at the Seoul Arts Center
- General Exhibition Tickets: There is no cancellation fee until 7 days after ticket purchase, and a 10% cancellation fee is charged from the 8th day onwards.

Ticket Delivery

Note for receiving a ticket
- Customers who have benefited from discounts (e.g. discount coupons and membership discounts, special discounts for the disabled, national merits, SAC Teens, noble members, students, seniors and last-minute tickets) must be able to present proof of eligibility when collecting discounted tickets. If a customer fails to present such certification, he or she must pay for the full ticket price to enter the venue.
- The Box Office is very crowded when an event is about to begin. We strongly recommend collecting your ticket at least 30 minutes before the performance starts.
