PROFILE
Violinist 김진승
김진승은 예원, 서울예고, 서울대학, 미국 예일대학에서 공부했고 그간에 살펴온 내면과 음악을 통해 사람과 조우해왔다. 조선일보, 한국일보 콩쿠르 입상, 부산콩쿠르 1위 및 문예진흥원장상 등 여러 상을 받았고, 여러 단체와 협연했고, 여러 번의 독주회를 개최하였으며 다양한 오케스트라 악장으로 활동해왔는데 그 무대 하나하나가 김진승의 사유, 성장, 진화의 단면도라 할 수 있다.
이렇게 단면이 모여 지층을 이룬 서사에는 또 다른 지층 하나가 발견되는데, 그 층리의 본질은 그의 내면에 담긴 예술적 포용성이다. 김진승의 포용력은 전통과 새 것 사이 은신해 있을 법한 어떤 경계도 거부한다. 베토벤을 사랑하면서 ‘공감-20세기 클래식(EBS)’에서는 재즈를 흠모한다. 큰 무대 오케스트라에 몰두하면서 작은 무대에도 열정을 쏟는다. 진지한 실내악의 아카데미에 공감하면서 대중 인문학 콘서트에 자주 모습을 보이고, 사회학 책의 음반 연주가로 가담하는 등 예술적, 사회적 감수성 모두를 균형있게 갖춘 연주자이다.
김진승의 활 끝에서 빚어나는 소리가 타협없는 예리함을 동반하지만 그 음악에 온기가 사라지지 않는 이유가 있다면, 아마도 그것은 그의 음악에 소리와 사람의 체온이 마주 서 공감하고 있기 때문이다.
Composer 유주환
한국과 미국의 대학에서 공부하고 미국 오이코스 음악대학에 재직 중이다. 난파음악상, 연세문화상, 우경문화상, 한민족음악상, 중앙일보콩쿠르, 미국 엡스작곡상을 수상하고, 체코 프라하 국제 음악제, 폴란드 모자이코음악제, 영국 맨체스타음악제에 입선했다. 두 번의 개인발표회를 열었고, 서울시향의 컴포저프리즘, 화음앙상블, 프라임필하모니의 상주 작곡가로 활동했으며 EBS와 OUN의 다큐멘터리 『우리시대의 작곡가』에 그의 작품 세계가 소개된 바 있다. 저서로 『퀵서비스 관현악법』과 『모멸감』이 있다.

The 2 stories 354 seats Recital Hall is the perfect venue for recitals that demand crystal clear sounds to resonate. It finished undergoing renovation in 2005 and has since been widely loved for showcasing debut and farewell stages, charming chamber music ensembles as well as experimental music.

Note for receiving a ticket
- Customers who have benefited from discounts (e.g. discount coupons and membership discounts, special discounts for the disabled, national merits, SAC Teens, noble members, students, seniors and last-minute tickets) must be able to present proof of eligibility when collecting discounted tickets. If a customer fails to present such certification, he or she must pay for the full ticket price to enter the venue.
