at the upper-right of the page.
Night Stories Drawn with the Guitar, presented by the classical guitar specialist brand Partita, is a special recital that offers an intimate encounter with the refined musical world of Lorenzo Micheli, one of today’s most distinguished classical guitarists and an international competition laureate.
This concert marks his long-awaited return to Korea, sixteen years after his first visit in 2010, and represents his first-ever solo recital in Korea. It is a particularly meaningful occasion for aspiring guitarists and devoted guitar enthusiasts who have eagerly anticipated this moment for many years.
Through the poetic depth and lyrical resonance of Micheli’s artistry, unfolding across six strings, this evening promises to rediscover and reaffirm the true essence of the classical guitar.

Since then, he has maintained an active international career, performing extensively across Europe and in more than 200 cities throughout the United States and Canada, as well as in Africa, Asia, Australia, and Latin America. To date, he has given over 600 concerts as a soloist and orchestral soloist worldwide.
Since 2002, he has performed internationally as part of the acclaimed guitar duo SoloDuo, alongside guitarist Matteo Mela. The duo has appeared in leading concert halls such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, the Hall of Columns in Kyiv, and the Vienna Konzerthaus. The Washington Post praised SoloDuo as “extraordinarily sensitive – nothing less than rapturous.”
Micheli’s extensive discography includes more than 20 recordings released on major international labels such as Naxos, Stradivarius, Pomegranate, Soundset, and Amadeus. His recordings feature works by Dionisio Aguado; the String Quartets, Op. 19 by François de Fossa; the guitar sonatas of Viennese composer Ferdinand Rebay; 17th-century Italian music for baroque guitar, archlute, and theorbo; arias and cantatas by Alessandro Scarlatti; the complete guitar concertos of Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco; 24 Preludes and Fugues for two guitars; a double album devoted to Mauro Giuliani’s chamber masterpieces; the complete guitar works of Miguel Llobet; Duos Concertants by Antoine de Lhoyer; three anthology albums for two guitars (Noesis, Solaria, Metamorphoses); and Morning in Iowa, a collaboration with David Knopfler. His most recent album, Autumn of the Soul, was released by Spain’s Contrastes Records.
In addition to his performance career, Micheli is a highly active editor and researcher.
