Profile
Violist 이선영
비올리스트 이선영은 서울예술고등학교 재학 중 도미하여 토론토 대학교에서 연주학 학사를 우등으로 졸업하였고, 미국 텍사스의 라이스 대학교에서 펠로우쉽 학생으로 선발되어 입학하여 우수한 성적으로 석사학위를 취득하였으며, 존스홉킨스 대학의 피바디 음대에서 전액 장학생으로 연주자 과정을 졸업하였다.
대학 재학 중 토론토 심포니의 객원 비올리스트, 스카보로 필하모닉의 객원수석을 역임하였고, 월터홀, 릴리안 던컨홀, 밴프 아트센터 등에서 10여회의 독주회를 가졌으며, 탱글우드 뮤직 페스티벌, 아스펜 뮤직 페스티벌, 슐레스빅 홀슈타인 페스티벌, 도메인 호제 페스티벌에 등에 초청되어 세계적인 연주자들과 미국과 유럽의 대표적인 홀에서 연주하였다.
세종문화회관에서의 귀국 독주회를 시작으로, 대전시립교향악단의 수석비올리스트로 발탁되어 국내에서의 활발한 활동을 하였다. 금호문화재단 초청 연주 및 통영국제음악재단 윤이상 기념공원 기획 연주를 비롯하여 대전 시민회관 초청 독주회, 서울 예술의전당 등에서 다양한 레퍼토리로 독주회를 개최하였으며, KBS 클래식 FM 음악실 정오음악회에서의 연주 실황 등을 통해 대중과의 교감을 넓혔고, 서울 예술의전당과 대전 문화예술의전당에서의 세계적인 첼리스트 츠요시 츠츠미와 함께 R. Struass의 Don Quixote를 협연하여 큰 호평을 받은바 있다.
워싱턴 케네디 센터에서의 초청 연주, 볼티모어 심포니와 볼티모어 쳄버 오케스트라의 객원 비올리스트로, 피바디 음대 오케스트라 및 전공 과정 조교로 활동 한 바 있으며, 벌논 캐슬만 세미너에 참석하여, 북미지역의 젊은 비올리스트들과 연주 및 교류하였고, 텍사스 크리스찬 대학의 썸머 뮤직 페스티벌에 강사로 초빙되어 참석하였다. 북미에서의 활동과 국내에서의 활동을 병행하며, 다양한 비올라의 레퍼토리를 꾸준히 선보이며 청중들과 교감하고 있다.
서울대, 중앙대, 충남대, 상명대, 계원예고, 안양예고, DJAC 강사를 역임했으며, 대전시향 수석비올리스트, 팀프 앙상블 단원을 역임하였다.
현재 에라토 앙상블 단원 및 전문 연주가로 활동 중이며 후학양성에도 힘쓰고 있다.

Note for receiving a ticket
- Customers who have benefited from discounts (e.g. discount coupons and membership discounts, special discounts for the disabled, national merits, SAC Teens, noble members, students, seniors and last-minute tickets) must be able to present proof of eligibility when collecting discounted tickets. If a customer fails to present such certification, he or she must pay for the full ticket price to enter the venue.
- The Box Office is very crowded when an event is about to begin. We strongly recommend collecting your ticket at least 30 minutes before the performance starts.
