The Essence of German Romanticism Portrayed by Violinist Jungeun Lim: Delicate Interpretation and Explosive Energy
Violinist Jungeun Lim, who studied at the Cologne University of Music and Dance and the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin) and is currently serving as the Principal First Violin of the Busan Philharmonic Orchestra, presents her Homecoming Recital.
This performance features a program that reflects a diverse musical spectrum, ranging from the restrained beauty of the Classical era to the magnificent narratives of Late Romanticism. The concert opens with Beethoven’s Sonata No. 6, noted for its bright and elegant melodies, followed by Ysaÿe’s Caprice, a transcendental reinterpretation of Saint-Saëns’ waltz that showcases her overwhelming technical prowess. In the second half, she will invite the audience into a world of profound emotion through Richard Strauss’s only Violin Sonata, delivering both symphonic grandeur and lyrical depth.
Beyond her role as an orchestral leader, Jungeun Lim has solidified her position as a soloist and chamber musician, winning the Music Journal New Artist Award and placing in the Jeju International Chamber Music Competition.
