Cellist Lee Ra
Lee Ra studied at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore; the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover in Germany; and the Mozarteum University Salzburg in Austria. She completed the prestigious Konzertexamen in Germany and has since established a versatile career as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral cellist.
She has received prizes at numerous international competitions, including the Gisborne International Music Competition in New Zealand and the Schoenfeld International String Competition. From 2019 to 2022, she served as Assistant Principal Cellist of the Bruckner Orchestra Linz, and from 2022 to 2025, she held the same position with the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra.
Lee Ra has performed extensively across Europe, Asia, North and South America as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer. She has appeared in world-renowned venues such as the Musikverein Vienna, Brucknerhaus Linz, Grosses Festspielhaus Salzburg, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, and Mendelssohn-Haus Leipzig. In Korea, she has also performed at major venues including the Seoul Arts Center, Lotte Concert Hall, and Seongnam Arts Center. In addition to her performing career, she actively engages in chamber music and orchestral projects, continually expanding her artistic scope.
She is currently a faculty member at the School of Music of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, while actively performing in chamber and duo recitals in major cities across China, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.
Pianist CHEN Yuying
CHEN Yuying graduated from the Meisterklasse (Konzertexamen equivalent) program at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig (HMT Leipzig) in Germany, where she is currently active as a guest professor. She has also served as a piano coach at the Gewandhaus Orchestra Academy and at HMT Leipzig.
She has won first prize at the Chopin Avenue International Piano Competition and received the Special Chopin Prize from the Chopin Society in Poland. She is currently on the faculty of the School of Music at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, where she is dedicated to teaching and mentoring young musicians.
