Flutist Yoon Hyunim graduated from Seoul Arts High School and pursued further studies at the College of Music, Seoul National University. She later studied abroad at the Geneva Conservatory in Switzerland under the mentorship of the renowned flute master Maxence Larrieu. She earned the Perfectionnement Diploma and 1er de la Virtuosité Diploma with high distinctions. Subsequently, she became the first Korean student of Jean-Claude Gérard at the Stuttgart University of Music in Germany, where she obtained the Künstlerische Ausbildung Diploma.
She demonstrated her exceptional talent early on by winning First Prize at the Chosun Ilbo Competition and receiving awards at the Busan Music Competition. She was also a prizewinner at prestigious international competitions such as the Concours de Flûte de L’Isle (Switzerland), Sankyo Flute Competition (Basel), and Biwako Japanese Association Competition. Notably, in 2001, she achieved 2nd Prize at the 47th Maria Canals International Competition in Barcelona, Spain, marking the first time a Korean flutist attained this honor.
Since her debut recital in 2003, Yoon Hyunim has actively pursued a career in Korea, showcasing her artistry through numerous solo recitals and orchestral collaborations. Since 2007, she has been curating a French music exploration series titled “From Baroque to Contemporary”. She has performed with major Korean orchestras such as the Baroque Ensemble, Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, and Prime Philharmonic Orchestra. Additionally, she has participated in notable performances, including a duo concert with her mentor Maxence Larrieu at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, invitational concerts by the Music Education Newspaper, and recitals at Shinhan Art Hall, Baroque Chamber Hall, and the Yeongsan Art Hall.
Internationally, she has been invited as a soloist with prestigious orchestras such as the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra (Bulgaria), Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra (Czech Republic), İzmir Philharmonic Orchestra (Turkey), Opole and Częstochowa Philharmonic Orchestras (Poland), Transylvania Philharmonic Orchestra (Romania), and Kyiv Symphony Orchestra (Ukraine). She has also performed at Kawai Hall in Tokyo, Ohrid Summer Festival in Macedonia, and Kotor Festival in Montenegro.
A significant milestone in her career was her record deal with Clarton, a Czech label, making her the first Korean flutist to release a Mozart flute concerto album in both the Czech Republic and Korea in 2009. In November 2009, she performed with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra at the Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall, and the concert was broadcasted by TBS (Seoul Traffic Broadcasting). She has also participated in meaningful performances such as the Seoul History Museum’s concert series, a special concert with the SKY Disabled Arts Troupe at the National Assembly, a healing concert for patients at Severance Hospital in Shinchon, and the On Dream School concert hosted by the Jung Mong-koo Foundation.
Currently, Yoon Hyunim is actively engaged in both solo and chamber music performances, collaborating with principal players of renowned orchestras worldwide. She is also serving as a Professor at Suwon University’s College of Music, Department of Orchestral Instruments.

The Inchoon Art Hall, which was completed on August 28, 2020, is a multi-purpose hall space located on the first basement floor of the music hall. It can be operated with a total of 100 seats, including 91 fixed seats and 7 mobile seats. In addition, Inchoon Art Hall has not only solo concerts, small concerts, but also video screenings, press conferences, competitions, etc. It can be used for various purposes.

All performances, except for children-specific ones, are suitable for elementary school students and older. If proof of age cannot be provided, entry will not be permitted regardless of ticket possession or accompaniment by a guardian. (Excluding performances aimed at children.)
