THE STRAD
피아니스트 이진화는 선화예고를 거쳐 서울대학교 음악대학(사사: 백혜선)을 우등으로 졸업하고, 서울대학교 사범대학 협동과정 음악교육학 석사를 졸업하였다. 이후 도미하여 미시간 대학교(University of Michigan, Ann Arbor)에서 실기우수 장학금을 받으며 피아노연주 석사와 피바디 음악원(Peabody Conservatory, 사사: 문용희)의 전문연주자과정을 졸업한 후 다시 미시간 대학교(University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, 사사: Arthur Greene)에서 피아노연주 박사학위(DMA)를 전액 장학금으로 취득하였다. 미시간 대학교에서의 박사과정 동안 피아노실기 및 클래스피아노를 지도하였고, 동시에 음악이론 페다고지과정을 졸업해 음악교수법에 관한 연구를 심도있게 하였다.
일찍이 국내에서 삼익 피아노 콩쿠르 은상을 비롯하여 음악저널 콩쿠르, 난파음악 콩쿠르, 한국피아노학회 콩쿠르 등에서의 상위 입상과 국외에서는 American Protege International Piano & Strings Competition과 International Concerto Competition 1위, Seattle International Piano Competition, San Jose International Piano Competition, CAG Victor Elmaleh Competition 등의 국제콩쿠르에서 Finalist, Semi-Finalist로 선정된 바 있다.
미국 Britton Recital Hall, Stamps Auditorium, Goodwin Hall, Steinway Hall(Detroit) 등에서 다수의 독주회를 하였고, 뉴욕 시에서의 오케스트라 협연을 통해 뉴욕의 일간지들로부터 호평을 받았으며 뉴욕 카네기홀 내 Weill Recital Hall에서의 Debut Concert, 오벌린 콘서바토리와 이스트만 음대의 Guest Recital, 줄리어드 음대의 The Piano Concerto Class에 초대되어 연주하는 등 전문 연주자로서의 입지를 굳혔다.
이태리 Schlern International Music Festival, 체코 International Music Academy Pilsen 등의 국제 음악제에 참가하여 실내악 및 독주 연주를 하였고, Detroit Symphony Orchestra 주최 베토벤 페스티벌에서 우수연주자로 선정되어 디트로이트 공영 FM인 WRCJ에 연주실황 녹음이 방송되었으며, Bloomfield Public Library Chamber Concert에서의 차이코프스키 피아노 트리오 연주가 지역TV로 방영되었다. 라흐마니노프의 피아노 독주곡집을 미국 Blue Griffin 레코딩사와 녹음하여 발매하였고, Fanfare Magazine, American Record Guide, Audiophile Audition의 CD 리뷰 등에서 많은 호평을 받았으며 미시간주 공영 FM인 WKAR과 매릴랜드주 공영 FM인 WBJC 등에 음반이 브로드캐스트 되었다.
2014년 예술의전당 리사이틀홀에서의 귀국독주회를 시작으로 ‘음악의 틀: Variation, Sonata & Fantasy’, ‘희로애락’, ‘고전과 낭만으로의 초대’, ‘음악이 주는 선물 I: 交感’ 등의 부제로 무게 있고 다양한 레퍼토리로 구성된 독주회를 국내 주요 홀에서 꾸준히 개최하고 있을 뿐만 아니라 WPTA 초청으로 세 차례 World Piano Conference에 참가 및 발표, 그리고 한국피아노두오협회, 음악예술학회, 피바디 동문 정기연주회, 선화 PIANO 소사이어티, 세종 뉴웨이브 뮤지카의 정기연주회 등에 출연하였다. 2022년도에는 제4회 WPTA SINGAPORE 국제피아노콩쿠르 심사위원으로 위촉된 바 있다.
2018년도부터 WPTA(세계피아노교육자협회)의 한국 대표를 역임하고 있는 그는 현재 세종대학교 융합예술대학원 음악학과 겸임교수로 재직 중과 동시에 예원학교, 서울예술고등학교에도 출강하며 후학양성에 힘쓰고 있다.

Inchoon Art Hall Multi-purpose halls that can be used for various purposes
The Inchoon Art Hall, which was completed on August 28, 2020, is a multi-purpose hall space located on the first basement floor of the music hall. It can be operated with a total of 100 seats, including 91 fixed seats and 7 mobile seats. In addition, Inchoon Art Hall has not only solo concerts, small concerts, but also video screenings, press conferences, competitions, etc. It can be used for various purposes.

Note for receiving a ticket
- Customers who have benefited from discounts (e.g. discount coupons and membership discounts, special discounts for the disabled, national merits, SAC Teens, noble members, students, seniors and last-minute tickets) must be able to present proof of eligibility when collecting discounted tickets. If a customer fails to present such certification, he or she must pay for the full ticket price to enter the venue.
