“친구로부터의 영감”
우리가 태어나서 가족의 지지와 사랑의 테두리를 벗어나는 시기가 도래하면 친구들이라 부르는 새로운 사회를 만나게 된다. 그리고 이 친구들과 긍정적이든 부정적이든 가족에게서는 받을 수 없는 새로운 영향들을 주고 받으며 살아간다. 내가 음악을 시작하고 지속해 온 짧지 않은 시간 동안에도 함께 음악을 공부하거나 함께 무대에 서 왔던 음악 친구들과 많은 교류를 하면서 여러 가지로 받은 영향들이 중요한 영감이 되어 내 음악의 어떤 부분을 계속해서 만들어 가고 있다. 이번 공연의 선곡은 지금 내 곁에서 활발하게 연주 활동을 하고 있거나 이제는 만날 수 없지만 나의 음악 인생에 큰 울림을 남기고 먼저 세상을 떠난 음악 친구들, 선후배들로부터 받은 영감에 의한 것이며, 이를 통해 이 공연이 혼자만의 모습으로 서는 독주회이지만 한편으로 오롯이 혼자만의 자리는 아님을 돌아보고자 한다.

CLASSICAL GUITAR 고의석
열성적인 연주자 고의석은 청소년기부터 대전일보콩쿠르 1위, 한국기타협회콩쿠르 1위 등 유수의 콩쿨을 석권하여 뛰어난 기량을 보여주었으며, 2004년에는 명성 높은 기타 콩쿠르 중 하나인 도쿄국제기타콩쿠르에서 파이널리스트에 올랐다. 경원대학교 음악대학 재학시절부터 세종문화회관, 금호아트홀, 성남아트센터, 예술의전당 등 다양한 공연장에서 지속적으로 열어 온 독주회 이외에도 서울 신포니에타, 서울 오케스트라, 프라임 필하모닉, 안디무지크챔버 오케스트라 등과 협연하고 <예술의전당 Rodrigo 페스티벌>, <광주 기타 페스티벌>, <부산 기타 페스티벌>, ISCM_ACL 주최 <World New Music Days 2007: Hong Kong>, <제3회 아시아 프라멩코 페스티벌: 태국 치앙마이> 등의 페스티벌에 솔리스트로 초청되어 연주해 오면서 개성이 뚜렷한 탄탄한 음색으로 관객과 비평가들로부터 열광적인 호응을 이끌어 내고 있다. 2002년에는 한국을 대표하는 기타리스트의 솔로 연주 모음집인 ‘Brilliant Guitarists’(소니뮤직) 음반에 그의 연주들이 실리기도 했으며, KBS 라디오의 <KBS 음악실>, TBS 라디오의 <김어준의 뉴스공장>, <최일구의 허리케인 라디오>, KBS TV의 <클래식 오디세이>, <낭독의 발견>, <문화책갈피>, <더콘서트> 등에 출연한 바 있다. 또한 스페인 대사관 초청 연주, 파라과이 대사관 독립기념일 초청 연주, 파라과이 대사관 주최 ‘파라과이의 밤’ 기획 연주 등을 통해 라틴계 레퍼토리의 강점을 인정받고 있으며 2017년 F.타레가와 A.B.망고레의 작품들을 담은 독주 앨범 ‘Choro da Saudade’(워너뮤직)을 발표하여 호평을 받고 있다.
그는 실내악 연주자로서 성악 및 다른 악기와 함께 연주하는 일에도 열의를 보여주고 있는데, 기타그룹 피에스타의 일원으로 ‘Carnaval’과 KBS 라디오 주관 ‘2014 한국의 클래식 내일의 주역들’ 등의 음반을 발매했으며 부산국제음악제, 금호아트홀 연세 기획 시리즈, 통영 국제음악재단 주최 윤이상 기념관 기획 공연, 서울 예술의전당 아티스트 라운지 시리즈 등에서의 초청으로 실내악 주자로서의 굵직한 활동을 이어가고 있다.
현재 그는 경인교육대학교에서 학생들을 지도하고 있으며, 개인 연주 활동 외에도 대중음악가를 비롯한 다양한 예술가들과의 협업, 방송, 극음악 작업 등을 통하여 클래식 음악가의 스펙트럼을 넓혀 가고 있다. 기타그룹 피에스타(Guitar Group Fiesta), 기린(GuiLin), G3선, 마지카 밴드(Mazzika Band)의 멤버로도 활동 중이다.

The 2 stories 354 seats Recital Hall is the perfect venue for recitals that demand crystal clear sounds to resonate. It finished undergoing renovation in 2005 and has since been widely loved for showcasing debut and farewell stages, charming chamber music ensembles as well as experimental music.

Note for receiving a ticket
- Customers who have benefited from discounts (e.g. discount coupons and membership discounts, special discounts for the disabled, national merits, SAC Teens, noble members, students, seniors and last-minute tickets) must be able to present proof of eligibility when collecting discounted tickets. If a customer fails to present such certification, he or she must pay for the full ticket price to enter the venue.
