 Pianist Sung Ho Yoo, born in Seoul, South Korea, has garnered international recognition for his profound artistry and technical brilliance. Most recently, he won First Prize at the 2024 Seoul International Music Competition, a member of the World Federation of International Music Competitions (WFIMC). His other notable achievements include a Special Prize at the 2018 Geneva International Music Competition and reaching the semifinals of both the 2024 Hamamatsu International Piano Competition and the 2024 Xiamen International Piano Competition.
 
 Yoo’s deep passion for music began when he started learning the piano at the age of seven. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the Korea National University of Arts, graduating with top honors under the guidance of Daejin Kim. In recognition of his exceptional contributions to the university’s musical community, he received the President's Award in 2019. He attained another Master’s degree at the New England Conservatory in Boston, under the tutelage of Dang Thai Son. Currently, he is based in Germany, where he is pursuing the Konzertexamen (Soloklasse) at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover under the mentorship of Arie Vardi.
 
 As a soloist, he has captivated audiences through his powerful performances with prestigious orchestras such as KBS Symphony Orchestra, Tongyeong Festival Orchestra, Gunpo Prime Philharmonic Orchestra, Hankyung Arte Philharmonic Orchestra, DITTO Orchestra, Confero Camerata, and the KNUA Symphony Orchestra. At the age of sixteen, he made his concerto debut at the Seoul Arts Center, performing Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto with the Sunhwa Arts High School Orchestra, marking the beginning of a celebrated career. He subsequently received great acclaim for his performance of the Chopin Concerto in Moscow with the Novaya Rossiya State Symphony Orchestra, where Yuri Bashmet serves as artistic director.
 
 Yoo has performed worldwide in China, Japan, Russia, Germany, Spain, and Switzerland. He has appeared in solo recitals and collaborated with esteemed musicians at renowned festivals, such as a duo recital with cellist Sung-won Yang at the M Classical Music Festival, performances at the Autumn Chamber Music Festival, Seoul International Music Festival, Tongyeong International Concert Hall School Concert Series, Kumho Young Artist Concert Series, Kumho Young Chamber Concert Series, a chamber recital at Samsung The UniverSE Concert Hall, and the Collaboration Concert between Korea National University of Arts and Tokyo University of the Arts.
 
 With his growing international presence, Yoo continues to refine his artistry, striving to inspire audiences worldwide with his unique musical insight.
