국립심포니오케스트라 | KOREAN NATIONAL
SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
The Korean National Symphony Orchestra
(formerly, the Korean Symphony Orchestra) began as the first privately-funded
orchestra in Korea in 1985. As an affiliated art organization under the
Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, it has created its own distinct
musical world, encompassing not only classical music but also opera and ballet.
In pursuit of becoming a platform for the growth of the next generation of
musicians in the Korean wave, it leads the way in fostering musicians,
composers, and conductors for K-classics and started a new chapter as a
national orchestra in 2022.
