CAST

Artel Philharmonic Orchestra

The Artel Philharmonic Orchestra is an orchestra cooperative that started from the idea that cooperatives are suitable for the efficient organization and growth of private orchestras in the music world. In May 2019, the 'Great Mom' performance with disabled musicians at the Naru Art Center (Gwangjin Culture and Arts Center) drew enthusiastic response and great interest from the local community, announcing the start, and in November 2019, Lotte Concert Hall The inaugural performance co-sponsored by the Chosun Opera Company confirmed the infinite development and growth potential of the cooperative. In addition, it is leading cultural activities in the region by hosting a series of invitational performances and holding concerts for local residents.

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, he successfully led an international exchange concert with the Miracle Voice Ensemble, the first vocal ensemble for people with developmental disabilities in Korea, to an online live concert. In May 2021, he received a lot of praise for taking on the music and performance of the French musical concert in Korea, and met numerous audiences with a total of 17 encore nationwide tours in November-December. In two performances held in July and August at the Lotte Concert Hall and the Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall, they presented an impressive stage with North Korean refugee artists wishing for peace and conveying social contribution messages for people with developmental disabilities and multicultural families.

In 2022, together with the Welfare Foundation, performances for the socially underprivileged, a concert for national heroes, their descendants, and the culturally underprivileged in celebration of Patriots and Veterans Month, and a charity concert to pray for world peace and help Ukraine were staged one after another.

The Artel Philharmonic Orchestra, which is attracting attention as a stage with various plans and impressions, especially held a concert to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the opera debut of world-renowned baritone Seong-Hyeon Koh, and issued the first NFT in Korean classical music to bring a new wind to the classical music world with a future-oriented attempt. is causing

Conductor Kwanghyun Kim

Conductor Kim Kwang-hyeon, who is regarded as one of Korea's leading maestro, gave a fresh shock to the Korean music scene in 2015 when he was inaugurated as the music director and chief conductor of the Wonju Philharmonic Orchestra as the youngest head of a national or public music organization at the age of 33. After inauguration, with fresh planning and the best performance, all seats were sold out several times, and the number of regular members and audience occupancy rate more than doubled. In addition, with successive successful performances at the Seoul Arts Center Symphony Festival, the Wonju Philharmonic Orchestra recorded a rare record in paying audience share for a local symphony orchestra, and was evaluated as having leaped into the top-notch orchestra in Korea.

After graduating from the Department of Piano at Yewon School and the Department of Composition at Seoul Arts High School, she majored in conducting at Seoul National University, where she studied with Lim Heon-jeong and Kim Deok-ki. Later, he studied abroad in Germany and graduated with the best grades in the master's course in conducting at the Stuttgart University of Music, and was selected as an excellent conductor by the Baden-Württemberg Conductor Association. In addition, he was selected and received master classes from world-class conductors such as Myung-Whun Chung, Hermhert Blumstedt, and Charles Dutois.

After returning to Korea, he performed with the KBS Symphony Orchestra, Gangnam Symphony, Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra, Daegu Philharmonic Orchestra, Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra, Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, Busan Philharmonic Orchestra, Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, Cheongju Philharmonic Orchestra, Korean Symphony, Korea Coop Orchestra, Pohang Philharmonic Orchestra, Prime Philharmonic Orchestra, Stuttgart Philharmonic in Germany, and Reutlingen. He has received favorable reviews for conducting many domestic and foreign symphony orchestras, including the Philharmonic, Constance Philharmonic in Southwest Germany, Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, Thuringian Philharmonic, Kyushu Symphony in Japan, Kalovyvari Symphony in Czech Republic, and Craiova Symphony in Romania.

In addition, he conducted operas such as Don Giovanni, La Bohème, La Traviata, Love Elixir, Evgeni Onegin, Carmen, Cavalleria Rusticana, Turandot, and The Marriage of Figaro in Korea and Germany, receiving rave reviews from the audience and critics. Recently, he successfully debuted as a ballet conductor at the Tchaikovsky Ballet Gala hosted by Art Center Incheon, 'Don Quixote' co-hosted by Seoul Arts Center and Universal Ballet, and 'Ballet Stars' hosted by Seongnam Arts Center. He is showing off his outstanding abilities.

He is building an unrivaled realm not only as a conductor but also as a delightful and in-depth commentator. As a motto, it is presenting a new paradigm in the classical music world for constant communication with the audience in the era of untact.
