Eui-Geol Bang, Time of Light
Eui-Geol Bang is a recognized artist for expanding the horizons of Korean ink painting with his free expression that crosses traditional and modern, abstract and figurative.
Dates: December 23, 2023 - March 29, 2024
This exhibition is free and open to all ages.

We can get a rest in time & breath which was created in Bang's lyrical ink paintings.
An exhibition of contemporary ink paintings by Eui-Geol Bang: A 3-month journey through 100 ink works.
For nearly 70 years, Bang has been working as an ink painter.
Blurring the boundaries between abstraction and figuration, he depicts nature from the depths of his mind with his unbridled imagination, and his works are recognized as being of the utmost modernity in their expression, even though they use ink, a material with a long history.
His works, which inherit the authenticity of brushstrokes but stand out for their painter beauty, have been realized as media art through collaboration with d'STRICT.
We look forward to your visit to this exhibition, which presents a new direction for Korean art to go out into the world.
In particular, the Wave Series, Space Series, and Forest Series, which will be exhibited this time, are representative works of the artist with unique beauty and depth that transcend the distinction between abstract and figurative, real and conceptual.

Seoul Calligraphy Art MuseumMuseum representing Korean calligraphy
Seoul Calligraphy Art Museum, which opened in 1988, is the world’s first-ever exhibition venue dedicated to calligraphy. Traditional works as well as contemporary works are continuously presented in 3 exhibition halls. The oriental atmosphere of the calligraphy art museum is the only one in the world which preserves the culture of the Chinese characters, and thus has been drawing many foreign visitors. There is also a calligraphy education academy which is open to the general public.
All performances, except for children-specific ones, are suitable for elementary school students and older. If proof of age cannot be provided, entry will not be permitted regardless of ticket possession or accompaniment by a guardian. (Excluding performances aimed at children.)
We encourage travel by public transport because you may not be able to enter the venue before the performance start time due to parking lot congestion.

Note for receiving a ticket
- Customers who have benefited from discounts (e.g. discount coupons and membership discounts, special discounts for the disabled, national merits, SAC Teens, noble members, students, seniors and last-minute tickets) must be able to present proof of eligibility when collecting discounted tickets. If a customer fails to present such certification, he or she must pay for the full ticket price to enter the venue.
- The Box Office is very crowded when an event is about to begin. We strongly recommend collecting your ticket at least 30 minutes before the performance starts.
