Material for Gakgung(Horn bow), the representative bow of Korea, is a water buffalo horn and a mulberry wood. In addition to that thinned out ox tendon was glued on layer upon layer using sciaenoid isinglass. As for a Mokgung(wooden bow) cypress was most commonly used; for Jukgung(bamboo bow) bamboo and for Cheolgung(iron bow) brass was used. Arrows are in most cases a Juksi(bamboo arrows) and had pheasant feathers on them. There are about ten bow-making tools such as Gungchang, Milsoe, Dutpi, Hwan and Saryeontop. For arrow-making there are tools such as Onuihwan, Onuikal, Joigae, Joldae, Salgulchigae and Indu.
